The employer in Turkey is required to make the application via the online system within 10 working days after the application to the representatives and should convey the necessary information and document to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in person or by mail.
Foreigners whose work permits deemed appropriate have an obligation to enter Turkey latest within 180 days after the arrangement of their work permits. With the exception of a residence permit for study purposes, foreigners with a residence permit of at least 6 months valid at the date of application or their employers may apply for a work permit. Foreigners in this position do not have the necessity to make an application to the external representation of the Republic of Turkey. The required documents must be sent to the Ministry of Labor
and Social Security in person or by mail within 6 working days following the online application.
The work permit applications made according to the requested documents are finalized within 30 days by the ministry if the documents are whole and complete. In case of missing documents, the applicant is notified and the 30-day period starts as of the date on which the missing documents reach the ministry. Work permit applications results that is positive or negative, in applications made fro m abroad notification is provided to applicants through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
Foreigners who enter Turkey by taking a work and residence permit via consulates, need to register in the Address Registration System in Turkey within 20 business days following the date of their entry.
